Yin, Yang and Tai Chi Chuan. In english. Meditation Directory. Keeping healthy.

Natural Healing. Keeping healthy.

Some exercises for natural healing.

Health and natural medicine exercises.
Natural medicine is based upon keeping a good health, not on exploiting illness. This exercises will help you to keep healthy and to live longer to gain awareness.

Upon waking up, before getting out of bed, crack a smile and stretch like a cat.
Stretch your arms and legs and roll over all around three or four times.
Make sounds of pleasure, audible sounds of pleasure, and crack your joints.
You will get up refreshed and rested.
This routine will take three minutes from your schedule. As soon as you get up, sit facing East and practice the open focus exercise we described in the chapter on meditation.
Breathe through the nose in a gentle, relaxed way, relax your limbs as much as you can. Use cushions or pillows to get more comfortable. Put your awareness on your visual field and for 10 minutes keep your attention on all the points of your visual field.
It's like watching a tree and giving your attention to the foliage as a whole, and not focusing on each individual leaf sequentially.
Different fields, focused and open. The exercise is not easy.
If you drift away, focus on one point of the room or start planning your day's schedule, do not feel bad.
Get back to giving your attention to your visual field as a whole.
With daily practice, you will feel like a mirror, reflecting the reality of the moment to its tiniest details, but not being involved in it.
This is the witness position.
This will take daily around 20 minutes of your time.
It satisfies the need to perceive reality and to transcend the individuality, the ego, the personality.
As soon as you have contacted the witness, get on your feet slowly, and go through the tai chi chuan form.
See if you can be a witness throughout the form.
We recommend the 37 movements form, yang style, developed by Chen Man Ching.
This routine will take 6 minutes of your time.
You can find a description of this form in our internet pages. The practice of the tai chi chuan form involves all the joints in the body in a gentle and natural way. And introduces motion in your meditation practice.
It is one of the best physical exercises.
If you don't know the form yet, just walk or do the zen walk .
If possible walk barefoot or just wear socks, walk very, very slowly and with full awareness of everything that happens within your field of consciousness for 6 minutes.
Move in slow motion, walking for 6 minutes.
Keep your attention on the tan tien, at the centre of your body.
You can walk in circles inside a room, but remember , very , VERY slowly.
Refer to the chapter on the form.
Eat IF AND ONLY IF hungry.
Hunger, the need for food, is felt in the stomach , not in the head.
If you feel hunger in your stomach, eat.
If not, don't.
Stop eating before you feel sated.
Refuse to eat junk food.
Treat yourself to healthy eating.
Particularly, ban saccharose and sodium chloride, supermarket sugar and salt from your diet.
Replace them with unrefined cane sugar or honey and sea salt.
Use unprocessed foodstuffs when possible.
Drink only when thirsty. Do not drink large amounts of liquid with your meals.
These exercises will take no extra time out of your schedule. They satisfy the needs of eating and drinking.
During the day,use all the waiting time (for a bus, a cab, the subway, a seat, an elevator....) to practice open focus, chi kung or qi qong.
Breathe out all the air in your lungs and take a deep breath several times a day. We recommend the exercise or asana "Uddiyana Bandha" from the yoga tradition. Try doing this exercise in places where the air is as pure as possible. In cities get on the rooftop of a tall building to avoid inhaling lead molecules. Avoid doing these exercises less than three hours after a meal. These routines will take no time out of your schedule. They satisfy the need to breathe.
When you feel the need to defecate or to urinate do not delay , satisfy it straight away. Procrastination leads to diseases of the excretory and urinary systems. This practice will take no time out of your schedule and satisfies the need to evacuate.
Share a 10 minutes massage (give and receive) with your partner or friend. This will take 20 minutes from your schedule. We recommend the short sequence of Thai massage.
Hormones from the opposite sex increase longevity. Remember their absorption happens naturally through the mucous membranes and epithelium of the sexual organs.
It is proved that frequent safe sex improves health.
Before going to bed repeat the tai chi chuan form and open focus meditation. Or Zen walk and open focus.
This will take you 16 to 26 minutes.
Crystals are the most perfect forms in the mineral kingdom. Introduce these reminders of perfection in your life. If you are new to crystals, we recommend that you use an uncast Amethyst. Hang it around your neck. Treat it with love. Clean it weekly by soaking it overnight in rain water saturated with sea salt. In the morning throw away the water on your manure pile.
You will have to buy sea salt, remember, sea salt and the sodium chloride sold as salt are two different things. Sea salt is a compound containing traces of almost every element known to man. Sodium chloride contains just sodium and chlorine. Use unrefined sea salt for your food, in moderate amounts. (no more than half a teaspoonful a day).
If you practice these exercises or routines daily, your health will improve and your longevity will increase.
You will only use up an hour of your time and will get 100 to 1 returns.
